Bluetooth on a Win 7 Desktop PC not detecting any other Bluetooth Items

  ajw270867 15:07 18 Dec 2014

I inadvertently unpaired my mobile (cell) phone earlier this evening. Now the desktop does not see any other bluetooth items, just searches forever for any devices.

Nor does it respond to pairing requests from the mobile phone!

Also in the com ports tab of Bluetooth settings, when I try to delete the Com ports it states "The specified service does not exist".

It is win 7 Ultimate with SP1 on it.

I think the theory of what I need is to rip out bluetooth from the PC and re-install it, but I don't know how to and thus: "HELP!"

Your thoughts please and I will be very grateful.

Hi Fruit Bat

Thank you for the link, but unfortunately I am aware of those ideas and have been taking tick out of plenty of boxes already and then re-inserting them - to no avail sadly.

Are there any registry entries that once amended sets the system back to a default basis?

Or any other ideas please anybody?
