BBC iplayer startup

I have a new system running Vista and it insists on blocking download manager on startup. I cannot find a way of giving permanent permission so have to authorise it every boot. Anyone know how I can get round this?

Read the section on "always run as administrator."

Theorectically BBC iplayer is not supposed to work in vista, I believe that it lacks full support

Thanks for your responses. I can get Vista to stop blocking iplayer but then it winges at me about security, or , if I turn notification off, it blocks iplayer without tellling me. I'm inclined to remove iplayer until it works better with vista.

If you turn off your uac you should be able to install.

Running vista ultimate, iplayer works perfectly.

I will try turning UAC off.

By the way, the BBC now say that iplayer works with vista.

Many thanks for your replies.
