Allowing Vista Std User Acc to install Updates

  rock_face 10:06 19 Nov 2016

I'm got a Vista laptop which is mostly run by family members using the Std User account. I've got an Admin account on it which I use infrequently.

I have a problem with it in that I can't get the Adobe Updates for Flash etc to automatically install. I need to provde the Admin password for it to proceed. In the intervening time the others using the laptop get frustrated as websites are not performing as required.

Is there a way to modify the Standard User Account to permit it to update Flash Player?

I've been into the Flash Player Update Manager and the radio button to allow Adobe to handle the updates has been selected.

I'm not sure what else to do, other than change the account to an Admin account - which I don't really want to do.
