Advice on encryption with windows 10

  BennyM 13:10 22 May 2019

Hi, Got an ageing PC windows 10 system in an office. Wanting to encrypt to secure customer details. Is it better to encrypt just the few dozen sensitive documents, or to encrypt the whole drive?

Will the machine run a lot slower after encryption?

Our files are automatically uploaded to the cloud. Will they be accessible in cloud storage by simply using the encryption key/password?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, it's built in I believe. I'm just wondering if there is any advantage in encrypting the whole drive or is it better to just password protect the important files? I assume password protecting them means they're encrypted.

No password protecting will not encrypt them you will need a third party program to do that have a read here click here

Okay thanks. I've seen conflicting information about password protecting word files that it does encrypt. Think I'm leaning towards doing the whole drive.
