active X

Please does anyone know how I can get active x to install in Vista?
I am trying to access a local web-cam which requires active x but Vista is blocking me from allowing it to install.
I am the only user so I should be the administrator right?

Does the yellow bar appear at the top of the page which gives you options if you click on it?

Yes but when I tell it to install a window opens and says "Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher"

If all else fails disable UAC and it will install then!

Tried turning off UAC but get the same message.

Ah. Well if you are happy with the source then allow it, if not block.

The problem is even if I allow it, it still wont let me.:-)

I got another message saying "The AXIS Media Control, which enables you to view live image streams in Microsoft Internet Explorer, could not be registered on your computer" so I will just give it a miss meantime and close this thread.
Thanks again
