Acer Notebook wont Boot up after factory reset

  xxmccwolfxx 09:05 22 Jul 2016

So I did a factory reset on my laptop and it kept saying unable to complete or something like that and options came up to return to windows or retry the reset. So i retryed one more time. It didn't work. So i clicked return to windows. It restarted and now it just shows the acer loading screen then it goes to a black blank screen. I have no dvd drive and i tried f2,shift+f10 and alt+f10. Nothing has worked. It just shows the acer loading screen then black blank screen. Its a new laptop aswell it only a year old. Please help. Thanks.

Make a USB or DVD (from ISO) to clean install.

W10 Media creation Tool allows free upgrade before 29th July.

If you wish to stay with W8.1, see W8.1 Media Creation Tool

(Microsoft servers give blank page for this just now. Check later today)

I dont have a dvd drive. How would the usb clean install work?

Use the Tool to make the USB. Boot it and follow instructions.

You'll need a spare 4GB or more USB Flash

Two questions will this cost anything and can the usb be my phone? Or does it have to be a new usb?

No cost just now except a USB drive. You can't use your phone.

If you wanted a W8.1 upgrade to W10 after 28th July, that becomes chargeable.
