Windows MCE 2005, can it really do this?

The recent review of MCE 2005 in PCA shows a make believe house using several extenders. One person is watching a video being streamed from the hard disc while others are shown using media or applications that also use the hard disc. If I play back video from the hard disc every other function on the pc slows down or stops. The streaming of video must use most of the HD bandwidth. These MCE machines seem to have a single large capacity drive rather than several smaller ones. So the question is can one drive service the need for video, audio and photo viewing without the video breaking up or the other users having to wait?

Look carefully and you can see the (air)brush strokes! It's whats called a 'concept', advertisers speak for 'if we ask the engineers for the absolute worst case scenario' then tell the accountants 'money no object' and then we will see what we get. You wait until the fridge interrupts the video with a message saying 'more ice cream needed' and the oven screams over the audio 'your dinner is over cooked' and pop-ups from the washing machine appear on the digital photos. What will you do when it goes wrong - read a book?-oh I forgot it's e-books now and the screen is dead 'cos you havent paid Sony this month.
