Why is it never 'resolved'

  STREETWORK 21:37 01 Sep 2006

Is there a reason poster's never click the resolved box, or is it because the advice given has lead to the PC blowing up...

I shall leave this tread open for 3 years 3 months and 3 days...

People lead busy lives and cannot be bothered (or do not remember) to come back here and say "thanks this is what worked".

  ade.h 21:47 01 Sep 2006

"...cannot be bothered..."

Well, that can work both ways.

  lisa02 21:52 01 Sep 2006

I assume you mean that if the poster cannot be bothered to resolve the thread then you might be bothered to post a possible solution?

The above is just my opinion of why they might not get resolved. I always like to say thankyou and resolve what little threads I have started here and in other forum sites.

  lisa02 21:53 01 Sep 2006

I mean you might -not- be bothered to post a solution.

  ade.h 21:56 01 Sep 2006

There are a few members who show a pattern of not giving any feedback or acknowledgement and I am less inclined to respond to them. You can only reply to x number of threads in y amount of spare time.

STREETWORK,the very nature of your post means that
this topic can never be resolved.Similar to the
majority of subjects in Speaker's Corner.

If you help someone with a technical solution then
one should get a thankyou. However, after a day or
two ,most topics are discarded/lost by default.Move on.

I had made a note of a possible 8 reasons why threads are never resolved, so far 2 have appeared above...

Only 3 years 3 months and 3 days to go...

How come we don't see you in
the Helproom more often?
Is it because you can't offer
help? Or is it because you don't
want to offer help? Or is it because
you enjoy fishing for easy bait in
Speakers Corner?

I'm inclined to feel you have a
lot of experience that would help
members of the forum, rather than
mock them, but if your not up
to it, your not up to it.

Why shoot fish in a barrel?
Or for that matter post in an
almost encrypted manner (but not
really that clever, google is my
friend as much as it is yours).

De Marcus™ I am sorry if I have not noticed any of
your posts.
I do not profess to be clever.
Thankyou for your keen interest in my movements.

I am researching the mind processor.....lol
And I am not interested in explaining how to fit a CD drive, again!Buy PCAdvisor.
