What does everyone think of the "ATI Radeon 9550"?

  mattyc_92 17:47 21 May 2006

I am thinking of buying the above graphics card (AGP) and, as I am not a "hardcore PC gamer", I would like some views on the card

So... Other to you guys....

You say you're not a hardcore gamer, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that. The 9550 is a poor card these days but more than adequate for many things, not games though.

click here considering that its very cheap I suppose its ok.

Not a bad gfx card although some more graphic intensive games wont run on it,

But as Totally Braindead says its cheap,

If i was you i might hold out for a better spec card get saving the pennies. ;)

Thanks guys.

As I don't really play loads of games on my PC (just the occasional one), I think I will go for it.
As you guys say, it is cheap

Thanks for all replies

Shouldn't this be in the upgrade forum, or perhaps consumerwatch?

  mattyc_92 10:17 23 May 2006

There isn't a "upgrade forum", but I suppose the "consumerwatch" would have been more appropriate

  Totally-braindead 11:02 23 May 2006

mattyc_92 there is actually. Its a bit on the hidden side but it is there under the Upgrade Advisor.
