Disappointed this Christmas at the reaction from the little people. They get too many 'gifts' throughout the year to make Christmas as 'special' as it was when I was a nipper. As an older parent I see how common this is as parents always buy their children something in the supermarkets during the monthly shopping. I'm guilty of this as well. Still all is going well but the magic is no where near as it was years ago. Hope you got your grandson a hat to fit..:)
My kids clubbed together and bought me an MP3 player (not an Ipod!). I'm delighted with it, but at the age of 66 it's taking a bit of getting used to the file structure, etc!
It's great for my daily dog walk.
As a grandfather yourself, you might be amused to know that the youngest of my grandsons (19 months old) spent most of the day wandering around a house stuffed with new toys, playing with his favourite new thing. A champagne cork!
