Hi,
I have an inquisitive and logically minded 9 year old son, and have found a very good website called How Stuff Works to help answer some of his questions.
It is also good for adults too, and there are explanations on how everything works in an easily digestible form, the computer section for example describes how laptops, bluetooth and motherboards work.

The BBC is also another good source of info.

Are there any similar websites that forum members can recommend as good knowledge sites for children?

Thanks
Pete
