USB - what do the letters stand for? 'Brain of Britain' (finalists) ... are pathetic!

Universal Serial Bus, was the answer.

Are people (us) becoming more stupid?

None of them, (Ray Ward was the eventual winner, BTW), could provide an answer.

I am referring to Brain of Britain on BBC radio 4...this afternoon.

AitchBEE, I think that you need to understand that, not knowing what USB stands for does not mean that they do not know what USB is or does.

After all, do you know what GESTAPO means ~ Without looking it up?

We all know what the Gestapo did, but what is it the acronym stands for?

Bingalau - an explanation of the answer was not required on B.O.B.Q. I would have been awarded a I knew the answer. It's a quick-fire quiz...but ten seconds to answer a question, is quite generous; natdoor beat me to the explanation as (he/she) was 'quicker on the button'.

tullie - that 'thought' is bouncing off the interior of my skull at the moment ;o)

I have always been slightly amused by T.W.A.I.N.

T.W.I.T. is another that springs to mind, but maybe that's a tad naughty of me ;-)

I think maybe USB fits into that then.
