TV Entertainment

At this time of the year, and with no major tournaments on, it's good to get the odd footie match on TV. The Channel 5 warlords know we need a bit of entertaining so they give us a couple of Liverpool friendlies to do so. They were great for showing the new talent coming next season, but lacked any spirit, and apart from Liverpool's 6th. minute goal, when they went into hibernation, the only good football was in the last 15 mins. Definite lack of entertainment.
Feeling down I decided to do a bit of living in the past and watched the 1966 World Cup final. It's always a pleasant surprise to see England win.

I fail to understand how anyone would want to watch football whilst The Open is being played!

Both sports are great and the physical requirements are the same (do not doubt that)and I've played and love golf, (no longer , I did my back when I reached 8 par in the 70's) but the simple reason for watching the 1966 Final is that I don't have a DVD of either of your two sports.

Golf and footie do not not have the same physical requirements as a cyclist in the Tour de France.

stop living in the past.

"TV" and "entertainment" appearing in the same sentence?

Must be some mistake!

Isn't that what they call an oxymoron - like Army Intelligence ;o))

Don't you mean a handicap of eight?

The Open is being staged where I live - just glad that the sun came out today to show the town in a more favourable light around the world.....:-)

is what a typical investituric applicant of the afore mentioned sustained academic ability of which a limited achievement of pure excellence is apportioned to ones individual success.
