Top film

that I've only just discovered... 'March or Die' 1977 with Gene Hackman.

Just watched it on ITV4, it's a proper 'Boys Own' adventure set in the Foreign Legion.

Anyone else found a great film years after it's release?

Yes, there are 100s.

But what is the point?

Just a few. Brighton Rock, The 39 Steps, The Ladykillers, Some like it Hot, Battle of the River Plate, The Apartment, The Blue Lamp.

"But what is the point?"
What's the point of any forum then...?

Blair Witch Project - I'm a bit of a horror film connoisseur (especially old Brit ones) and I avoided this originally due to all the hype. However, I saw it last year for the first time (on C4?) and now consider it my favourite of the horror genre. A good old spooky lost-in-the-woods tale very well told.

You're quite right, it's about him hunting down a group of researchers in the woods. Gave me the shivers!

I think you missed Quickbeam's point.

He was commenting on the fact that he had only discovered the film years after its release, not that he'd just seen a good film, of which, you are quite right, there are hundreds.

recent film i found out about was Cube and its sequels,

Amazing films but not very well known.

  Si_L 22:55 13 Oct 2007

The Goddfather Trilogy (esp. Part 1 and Part 2)

Wolfie - I thought Cube was a terrible film. Its terrific directing, but it just lacks a good plot and any substance.
