Three things that you are thankful for today?

Some days it is really hard to find anything to be thankful for when we feel overcome by the darkness, I would like to encourage others to write down three things they are thankful for, and to realize there is a sense of hope available to us all. Sometimes it is just a little hard to find!

Waking up.

My family.

Curling.

Not necessarily in that order

It's school sports day at the local junior school. I can't make it there as I used to but the wife has gone along to support our grandchildren one aged 11 the other 9. As with all such things everyone ends up with a prize. The grandchildren will come over after school to show me their prizes and that is what makes my day for me today. Tomorrow is Saturday and there is a summer fair in the village and that is what will make my day for me tomorrow.

Independence ... ie. no ties

My Big Verandah ... it's a different world out there.

Listening to BBC Radio 4 ... some of it, anyway.

Until today, that this fotum was free of such puerile posts!

Puerility is, like many other things, in the eye of the beholder. By making your rude comment you have exposed yourself to the possibility that someone might say the same about one of your future contributions.

morddwyd , don't listen to FE. You have earned the 'grumpy old git' award for being here longer than Moses was and long may you reign. SweetPotatoes will understand if she/he looks at the history of posters on these boards.

:)

Mine are : Opening eyes in the morn. Able to get out of bed. Able to work to feed family.

Good Grief. you son't contribute to a public debate without being fully cognisant of such a possibility!

Good luck to Sweet Potato for an attempt at change.

It is not my cup of tea, and I reserve the privilege of saying so so long as I am not barred.

Rudeness, like puerility is in the eye of the behold.

The thread was, I assume, somewhat light hearted, as was my respond.
