Is There Hope?

This year, for the first time in about twenty years, the daffodils which grow under my hedge and poke out to the street have bloomed and died back naturally, without having their heads torn off and thrown into the road by mindless morons.

Is there yet hope for the human race?

There is always hope - they say 'hope springs eternal' but I'm afraid there is no hope for 'the mindless morons' whom I consider are not a part of it!

They weren't out in time!

I've found that everything bloomed much better and for longer with the harsh winter.

This year our plum tree has brought the finest show of blossom in it's 22 year life. There's been only a light breeze in the last few days which has not disturbed the show.

Normally we only get a couple of days then along comes a strong wind to ruin it and the harvest is less. We are hoping this is going to be a very good year.

Raspberries are always better after a real winter as well.
