On this evening BBC Countryfile weather forecast, it was suggested that Scotland was due snow, the rest of the country is going to get cold and rain.

So the April showers might be right, but snow!.

Is distant memory in the late sixties/early seventies I seem to recall and the milkman in his electric float dumping crates at the end of the road and knocking on doors telling us to go and get it.

My neighbor has just returned from an extended holiday in the south of France on the med. He told me they had a foot of snow one day, most unusual for the area.
