the local election results - are they as you expected?

I expected Labour and LibDems to make greater gains but not surprised about UKIP.Listening to LBC till 4 in the morning gave good coverage.Labour should feel angry especially about London which by all previous accounts could have been a Conservative loss.

The only thing of note that I liked was the fact that UKIP had such a beating

UKIP is finished, their damage is done and now they have no purpose.

Regardless of who won what, the turnout is as usual only around 30-35% in most places, but everyone will be complaining about how poor Council services are regardless of the fact that most of them didn't vote.

They seem to reaffirm the general elections's return to a strict two party system.

Pity, as we need to get away from the adversarial stagnancy that that brings.

If that is the best Corbyn can do after eight years of Tory incometence, he ought to consider his position.

If the Tories can broadly maintain the status quo with such a disaster prone leader, think how well they would do with on who was half way competent!

  Quickbeam 05:36 05 May 2018

And that's the opinion of a dyed in the wool Tory!

  morddwyd 09:01 05 May 2018

Guilty as charged, m'lud!
