Is stepping down from her cabinet post to spend more time with her family.

She has four young children and a very demanding job producing a near impossible balancing act to perform, so it seems a perfectly reasonable decision to make.

So why are so many cynical as to the reason given?

made her decision and advised GB in June. No great loss.

If anything, nice little pension though.

She has given up her job so that she can spend more time with her children at the very time that the Government is promoting free nursery care so that mothers can go back to work and spend less time with their children.

She hasn't been in the job five minutes.
Who will they give the job to next?

How can they be any use at all if a reshuffle moves them from one job to another.

Why is it that she leaves and instead of being replaced everyone moves round to a different Ministry?

Is Alister moving again?

What mystified the critics was why make the announcementment at 3.30 am. was it to make sure her picture was on the front page of the first issue of the papers, leaving it any later might have resulted in her resignation slipping to the background with Browns speech & latest on the economy getting prime position

She ran the Department of Transport. Couldn't you tell the difference when she took over?

  Pineman100 18:18 25 Sep 2008

Interesting choice of word.
