Roadworks start times?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know what the start time for roadworks to with pneumatic tools start mon-fri & Sat morning?

All depends, contact your local council and their highways or environment department, especially if its to do with noise pollution.

If its an emergency and the area needs containing (gas leak etc), then anytime of the day or night, if the road needs digging up.

It depends on how long the council are willing to have the road "open" (as in dug up).

If the council permission is short, the utility will have to work long hours & weekends to get the work done quickly.

It's all a balancing act between getting the work done quickly, and doing it properly. Sometimes the job is done so quickly that they rush and fail to fill the holes properly, which leads to the roads breaking up soon afterwards and causing yet more problems.

It could not be the council starting at that time, they have to have breakfast first, so probably utility works. Councils are more sympethetic to the needs of the sleeping nation...
