Rare Gales to hit Britain on Sunday

I can't every recall having seen a gale, only feeling its effects...:-)

I'm not sure that the headline about "Rare Gales" is strictly accurate either, even though it means for the time of the year; gales can hardly be described as being rare (especially on the North West coastline)...:-)

must be something to do with "Global Warming". actually it's the met offices fault they said tha June would be a hot dry month, and that july and august would be cold and wet, so I am going to stock up on sunblock for next month.

Around our area we are having a major upgrade to the underground gas piping. Not sure whether its the wind (it is very breezy) or the early morning merry party people. But most of the protection barriers are now face down :O)

Didn't the weather people say this year was going to be the hottest ever?
Last year they said it would be nearly a 100 in July.
It was nearlly a 100, 100mm of water!!

They said last summer would be the hottest in 30 years... We got the wettest in 300 years!
