I've just bought a HP C6280 all-in-one printer, it's a stunning piece of kit, but one thing puzzles me.

The printer is made in Malaysia, the yellow ink tank is also made in Malaysia.
The black ink tank is made in Singapore, but the cyan, light cyan, magenta and light magenta tanks are all made in Ireland.

So the 4 tanks from Eire are shipped to Malaysia, where they meet up with the printer & yellow ink tank, to be joined later by the black tank when it arrives from Singapore. They're then boxed up with the manual and CDs which were made in Germany.

The whole lot is then shipped to the UK.

Makes perfect sense to me...

....the UK is not the only destination for HP printers;-)

Wait till you obtain replacement cartridges, it will most likely get even more confusing. If I remember rightly, some of my last lot of original HP's came from South America instead of Ireland, and as for compatibles!.
