Power of Attorney

Does anyone know the cost of obtaining a Power of Attorney? Are solicitor's fees in this area very much the same everywhere?
Thank you in advance.

Worth shopping around, a simple Power of Attorney should not cost too much. Suggest phoning a few solicitors for a quote. The actual fee is on the link.Last one I applied for was about 10 years ago so I am a bit out of date.

Last time I asked a solicitor it would have cost £250, and that was through a special discounted scheme.

Grateful thanks lads, everything you've given me is useful.
This should put a smile on your faces.
The 6 year old son of s friend suggested I try Google, and it worked. Am I red faced, or not.?

Was not aware of DIY.

Thanks for the link.

I am not sure about the DIY approach. It is a bit like personal will writing; you never know if it has been done correctly until it is too late.

Do what I did, get hold of one someone has paid to have done scan it in and change or add the things you need to.
