There'll be Bluebirds over
The white cliffs of Dover

I'm not convinced this is going to be a good idea click here

Or to put it another way, "We are desperate for money; sell everything!!"

I feel a further round of price rises coming on.

If it is bought by the French they will be able to close us down completly when they have a dispute.

When you're strapped for cash, anything that can be sold and would otherwise be demanding investment is fair game to the treasury no doubt.

So how come the Tories never sold all this lot off then?

  Monoux 18:30 08 Feb 2010

Favourites to purchase are the French -- if they get it watch them transfer all the illegals in Calais to Dover then refuse to take them back. All the human rights enthusiasts will then demand we keep them here.

Those responses are very interesting.

One important issue I'm worried about is if our old 'enemy' the French buy the ports up. I'm neither paranoid nor 'o'phile' but in reality the French are still not too keen on us. Old wounds take a long time to heal.

Don't worry. Gordon won't sell until the Pound drops a bit more against the Euro. You know how well he done with our gold reserves.
