Perhaps it's time to mention Christmas.

I know I'm a bit of a bah! humbug! person when it comes to early mentions of the festive event, but as we begin the run-up I thought I would point you to a brilliant contribution from Chris Martin, our Consumer tech Editor, who has put together a selection of TV Christmas ads - past and present.

Thanks Chris, you've made this jaded old forum editor very happy.

The shops are full of Christmas goods, and Christmas ads are appearing on TV. I don't think it is too soon.

Personally, this one is my favorite!

Don't worry about too soon, we will soon be able to concentrate on Easter!

for the last few years you wouldn't lets us use the C word until December :0)

But as old age creeps up on us time seems to go quicker so I suppose we had better start earlier to make sure we have everything done on time. I go shopping on the 23rd instead of the 24th :0)

"....for the last few years you wouldn't lets us use the C word until December"

I thought that my embargo has usually been lifted on 25th November, but I'm prepared to be proved wrong.

In this case, I liked Chris Martin's collection of ads, and I obviously couldn't mention it without referring to Christmas, so here we are.
