PC Advisor ad misleads

I subscribe to PCA and have just received the email plugging the free repair kit CD. Well, subscribers didn't get it. It's only for those who buy their copy from the newsagents. The programmes are also avaialble on the DVD, but if you don't have a computer with a DVD and subscribe to the cheaper CD version, it's tough titties!

Fancy discriminating against subscribers!

And why no mention of the demise of BIScit? I got my info from ISPReview and was able to obtain my MAC code early, so lost only two days before I was connected to a new ISP.

I think most Biscit customers only realised that their provider had gone bust when they were disconnected.

Sorry, but I'm losing respect for PCA as my first choice for up-to-date, reliable advice. And as for that CD, I phoned and there was no way the team would let me have a copy.

Boo hiss!
