What's under the hood wolfie? You could reuse the HDD. Is it a CD or DVD drive? It can be worth thinking of building a media PC or another PC out of some of the components depending what they are?

I dont want to get rid of it like i said i want to use it but not sure what.

Same applies to Zero G.

You could plug it into a stereo and turn it into a media centre PC - click here for some Linux distributions that can turn it into a media centre PC.

Only a cd rom drive on it Dr Scott

512MB ram and onboard gfx.

Cant run games on it but i want to use it for something.

Or you could use it solely for Internet access instead of risking your main PC with online threats, viruses etc.

~I bunged ubuntu on it earlier but didnt get on with it so put win xp back on it.

I dont think its good enough for a media pc.

No modem for it rodriguez so internets out of the question also no network card.

what size is the HDD? What CPU is in there?

One option is to make an external HDD for backing up if the CPU isn't up to much. Otherwise I guess ebay beckons.
