Today McLaren have been fined £50,000,000 for gaining about 1/2 a second a lap by using information stolen from Ferrari.

Eddie Jordon freely admitted on Channel 4 News that all teams indulge in this tactic, as he said "no one leaves a team with an empty briefcase, and they definitely don't leave with an empty brain, after all that's what your new team have hired you for"

Last week, ICL Plastics where fined £400,000 for health & safety breaches that led directly to an explosion which caused the deaths of 9 people.

Don't you think it's about time that the lives of people where valued above profits?

£50m fine for upsetting Ferrari, £400,000 fine for killing 9 people, I despair, I really do...

But what can we do? we live in an age where big buisness is worth more than peoples lives. There will always be those who worship money more than people. In this instance you could argue that its the one way to really punish big buisness-hit them in their accounts. But one cant help wondering whose pocket that $100 mil will end up?
