No competition for PCA?

  WhiteTruckMan 20:10 01 Mar 2007

Seeing as we are now into March (just) and still no new competitions this year, I was wondering if the truckloads of freebies no longer stop at PCA towers? Or has the office junior not reported back yet in his beachcombing quest for overlooked containers (ahem)?

As a White Truck Man perhaps you could arrange to deliver a truckload of freebies to PCA Towers?

A laptop would be nice :)

Perhaps we should delve through our cupboards and donate any bits and pieces we have lying about as they obviously haven't anything to offer as prizes.
I've got an old motherboard here with 256mb RAM and a AMD K6 550 mhz processor. It works, would make a great prize maybe. Or then again perhaps not.

I've got loads of (unused) floppy disks.

Perhaps use them as a prize with 'historical' interest?

Hahaha, not a bad idea - I've got 2 AMD 2800+ (socket 754) processors plus Heat Sink/Fan, a P4 3.4E (prescott Core, skt 478) a P4 3.0 Northwood, 1GB PC2100, 1GB PC2400, 1GB PC3200, 80GB Sata Hard disk, MSI P4 socket 478 mobo with SATA raid, 2 16xDVDRW +/- (one dual layer) , a Radeon 256 9550, Radeon 256 X800XT, 3 mid tower computer cases, 2 dvd drives, spare Linksys wireless router/adsl modem and more cables/screws than you can shake a stick at cluttering up what was supposed to be our spare room. The missus is starting to frown and steam a bit. I just don't like throwing things spares pile used to be a lot bigger, but regularly gets picked over by friends and family.

i DO carry a fair number of laptops, along with ipods, PSP's, cameras, TV's up to 60 inch, and all manner of high value consumer electronics. The only problem is that they are all broke! Every last one of them is faulty in one way or another, and are bound either for the scrapheap or warranty replacement.

I do occasionally get to keep an odd cast off though. Currently I am the proud new owner of a samsung laser printer that was discarded as hopelessly paper jammed. Took a lot of time and patience to sort, but there you go..

But lessee, what could I donate as a prize?

I have a TV card that will not work with XP. Maybe even a 'Windows 95 for dummies' book.
I'm sure I had a working AT psu somewhere...

Anybody else got any ideas for prizes?

I think we still have a ZX 81. (But on reflection I don't want to give that away!)

A very large pile of old freebie CDs.

Oh, I know... a black keyboard with most of the letters worn off!

Lurking at the back of my drawer.
