The PM talks about controlling "competition" and then says there will be no privatisation, where is the "competition" coming from then? I don't follow...

I hate to be the voice of doom, but the UK has to come to terms with the fact that our days on the top tier of the economic league table are all but over.

Projecting forward we have unsustainable expenditure on many things we have become used to and adjusting for the reality of the situation will be hard both for the population to accept and the politicians to introduce.

We can alleviate some of the pain by running services efficiently, having a smaller civil service and getting more people into wealth creating jobs.

Putting the NHS in order is just one part of this equation.
