Did not know that Japan drive on the left as in England, Just watching this on Satellite TV

The Japanese railways were originally built with British technical assistance, and Japan adopted the British convention for double tracked lines of running on the left.

All Japanese roads were officially designated for left-hand running in 1924, and they've been that way ever since.
