The new £20 note

Is it me or does the new £20 note look more like a euro note (apart from the fact it has £20 printed on it). Is this the forunner to us changing to the euro by getting us used to the euro style note?

If you don't like them and have plenty spare I'll email you my address for forwarding the ones you do not like.

Not saying I didn't like them, I was wondering why they are beginning to look more euro style. I have no spare ones to send you :)

I don't think they look like euro notes. The design of banknotes changes reasonably often to thwart counterfeiters.

Personally, as long as I can spend it, the note can be sterling, euros or dollars and have a picture of Mickey Mouse's aunty on it.

It's designed to be less easier to copy.

Jak_1: I agree with you; it does have just the hint of a euro note look about it.

However, I think it looks smart.

To be honest if it is to soften us up for the Euro then that's great, it's time we joined.

PS. I didn't realise that Mickey Mouse had an aunt, anyone got a link to verify this point?
