Nearly all websites want to chat

These days. I was on Maplin just now, someone called Richard invited me to chat. I asked him where my cat had gone. We waffled on a bit until I closed the box. Then another box popped up asking me for feedback on the experience. Then my phone rang: "You recently called NatWest, would you complete this short survey?" People are being paid to do all this, it's madness and very annoying.

I frequently use chat with several of my service providers.

An excellent way to resolve queries without waiting for hours on the phone listening to poor music and recorded messages or sending email or snail mail and waiting days for a response.

I am fully in favour of chat!
