Field opposite is full of Greylag Geese, Not unusual, but the first time this winter.

Are they looking for an early return to Spitzbergen, or is there hard weather coming?

The Met Office says that UK temperatures are likely to be around the seasonal average for the next 30 days. That means it will be somewhat colder - in the South at any rate.

There's talk of snow up north but then aren't things always bad up north. There are all sorts of Old Wives Tales re. birds and predicting the weather. I dare say if someone has the time and the inclination they could find such a tale re. these Greylags and no before you ask I'm not volunteering.
