There's a lot of new young pianists/composers out there playing piano and recording piano music using creative technology. Have a listen and see what you think. Reminds me a bit of Philip Glass's way of composing. click here

Last Saturday, I heard Rick Wakeman, on the radio, say that he was pleasantly surprised when a young chap asked him to sign an album he made in 1973 called 'Six Wives of Henry VIII'.

Wakeman said that album was an old one, but the young fan said that it was new to him and that left a lasting impression on RW.

Yes, Rick Wakeman in his time was pioneering in playing classically based composition with a twist. Today, people like Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnauld and the above example Theo Alexander who is slowly breaking ground plays classically based compositions recording over many layers to create a decay tone that is somewhere between acoustic and electronic . Every generation discovers and creates new music which makes it very much exciting and alive.
