From 17th May :- *The Metropolitan Police has implemented a system to extract mobile phone data from suspects held in custody.
The data includes call history, texts and contacts, and the BBC has learned that it will be retained regardless of whether any charges are brought.*
Now I am all for something to help catch criminals but keeping the data when no charges are made is wrong !
Our privacy is being eaten away bit by bit.
Our "privacy" is being given away, to Brussels, by our politicians and by the people to the politicians.we are not allowed our 'secrets' as opposed to the 'State' which cannot exist without them.
There's not much point in running two threads on the same topic, so I think I should operate a policy of 'last in, first out', and lock this version.
