It seems to me that the 'Bank of Under the Mattress' is set to expand rapidly over the next few years.

I predict he won't be in power too long so he's trying to leave his mark... a pretty negative one.

I certainly do not like the robbing *(add your own word here)

Actually, Labour is something like seven points ahead of the Tories in the polls and there's talk that Brown might call a snap election to capitalise on that and to give his prime ministership its own legitmacy. So I think talk of him not being around for long might be wishful thinking on your part.

Yup, seven points click here

24 hours is a long time in politics! How long will the honeymoon last?

Polls are like the weather, they vary and quite dramatically at times.

By the way, Labour was way ahead in the polls in 1992 and still lost the General Election.

At the time Neil Kinnock didn't put the reason down to his 10 days too early winning "celebration" gathering in Sheffield, but to the "Conservative-backed Press"..:-)

Kate B could be right about calling a snap election. Around my neck of the woods the Labour party have already nominated and selected their prospective candidates.

My savings are in ISAs and hopefully fairly secure.
