The only thing written on the back of this unposted card is Aug.1949.
Methinks this will be a trifle harder than the last one – I hope I am proven wrong!

Brumas. I am off to bed for a kip. but it looks like a boating lake in a park to me. The cars look a bit pre war-ish to me too.

It's not Formby then ? ;o))

  rdave13 21:59 26 Oct 2007

Loads of clues then....? lol.

There's something almost continental about this, although thr traffic on the lake/riverside road appears to be on the left.

Think only locals can get this one. Google is not up to it..:)

This is a tuffy, I've sharpened it up a bit, but I don't think it will make any difference.

I would say it is definitely somewhere in England - look at the formation of those fields in the background. It's a typical English scene in my opinion. But where.....?? TC.

No visible church steeple, which you would expect to be fairly central in England, but the white gable end looks a bit like a chapel.

Victorian mid-Wales perhaps (I mean the style of architecture, not the actual date!)

Too hilly for the Formby area Brumas??

  Quickbeam 10:17 27 Oct 2007

I'm sure I've been there but can't quite place it... I also think Wales... I'll keep on thinking.
