First things first, I shall not be posting one next week, what’s that I hear you cry - thank gawd for that! - as we shall be touring the areas around Gairloch and Rothesay on holiday.

So here is tonight’s offering showing a very busy thoroughfare, which I suppose has the same volume of traffic, if not more, nowadays.

I had heard of the Goldfish Club. Some time ago I read an extract from Fl. Lt Albert Ricketts's WWII memoirs on the BBC history page, very interesting especially his view of the Surrender of the German Army to Field Marshall Montgomery.
