Hearing Aids - NHS v Private

  onthelimit1 09:10 18 Mar 2019

I had some NHS behind the ear hearing aids fitted last spring. I've tried hard to get used to them, but find that they have background noise (even when surroundings quiet), tend to amplify high frequencies too much and are not that comfortable. I'm quite prepared to pay for private ones if they are going to be substantially better.

Any one had experiences with privately provided aids please?

That's useful John - thanks, I missed that thread somehow! I'll try to get back to the audiologist to get them tweaked and see if that helps.
