Drew my tot and was a rum bosun but I wouldn't spend that amount. You can buy Woods 100, click here which is slightly stronger, at a much cheaper price.

An alternative heading would have been : "Up Spirits". Were you G, T, or UA?

Rum is something that's best used in rich fruit cake to me, how much per slice would you pay?

  wiz-king 18:04 29 Jul 2010

I wonder if it will be a 'special' in my local pubs happy hour?

  Quickbeam 18:24 29 Jul 2010

You'll not find anyone happy to pay that price!

  Woolwell 18:26 29 Jul 2010

You haven't tied a Dark n Stormy then or a very good rum.

On the way back from Suez to Malta in 1956, the SPO(V) saved all the pussers run spillage allowance and it went into the Christmas Pudding and Rum sauce, as we were at sea on Christmas Day that year.Made a good pudding.

Heard on the radio that ,40 years ago, a British warship, visiting Pearl Harbour, held a "burial at sea" ceremony and "buried" their rum fannies etc.on the abolition of the custom. A USN Adniral in a passing USN ship dipped colours etc , thinking the cermony was for a sailor. The Captain of the UK vessl got a b******ing - the US does not share our ironical sense of humour.
