One of my favourite subjects, and the RSPB are carrying out one of the world's largest wildlife surveys; "the big garden birdwatch"

If you scroll down & go to GARDEN BIRDS: FIND OUT MORE, there are some beautiful film clips/photos, which some may appreciate.

Don't the RSPB do this type of survey most years?.

We use to get the local school-kids involved, but education on wildlife doesn't seem all that important nowadays?.

Bit like asking kids where milk comes from, and the answer might well be 'the supermarket'. Correct in one form, but perhaps wrong in another?.

The survey is now in its 32nd year, apparently, although I've not previously been aware of it.

The Telegraph are including in their weekend edition a 52 page book on garden birds + a CD of bird song to coincide with the RSPBs birdwatch.
