For fans of Cleo and John

The nice 'documentary' about the Dankworths shown a couple of nights ago on BBC4 is repeated on the same programme on Tuesday (tomorrow)It has them talking about their lives and others who have and still work with them talking about them, and old footage of them both on the road alone and together. Its called the legends and I think they are. Another example of people reaching 80 and still working.

I recall going to see Cleo and John in the very early 1960s - superb.

Saw it the other day, it was a good programme and well worth watching.

Watch particularly for a short clip of Cleo singing with Dudley Moore on piano.

Even in grainy old black and white it came out of the screen and stroked the back of the neck, the sort of stuff you see once in a lifetime, if you're very fortunate.

It was as good the second time, but I have always been a fan of both.

Who are Cleo and John? A tad more info about who they are would have been helpful. As it stands they could have been two dogs for all I know! I was around in the 60's but still do not have a clue who they are!

Thanks for that, I do remember Cleo Laine. Very good voice.

To be fair to Newuser38, he did entitle his thread "For Fans of Cleo and John"

We knew who we were, and who they were!
