Election Date - it`s official

  anchor 16:03 04 Apr 2010

We have just received our "official" poll cards from the local Council for the General Election, on Thursday May 6th.

The media is expecting an announcement from Mr Brown after the Easter break. However, these cards must have been printed last week.

"Official Postal Poll Card-For Imformation Only"

"Polling Day: 6 May 2010"

Followed by name & address & to confirm that you will have a postal vote.

"..he wouldn't be so stupid as to incur all the extra expense of two polls in two weeks.."

I don't personally think it's too wise to say just what a politician of todays government is too stupid to do, given the venal nature of those who 'serve' the public today.

Half the country are voting on May 6th in local elections for which the authority are dispatching polling cards.

It is almost certainly the case that this is what anchor has received.

Does anyone think that the GE date would not have leaked out if authorities had been told to prepare polling cards?

  lotvic 18:56 04 Apr 2010

going to be fun if GE ends up on same day :)
