You only need to look at the ratings of the seller and bidder's, say's it all!.

That particular seller has got 100% feedback but mainly in 'buying' and is a new seller so I would hesitate until I saw the feedback from buyers.

Every seller has to start somewhere though and they could be genuine, only time will tell.

It is for the box and fan ONLY...it does clearly state this.

  SG Atlantis® 07:40 14 Dec 2005

they have listed the item like that so that some poor sod looking for a bargain will be duped into paying a huge price for a box, and a fan that would be worth a few quid.

They didn't state "please not the box DOES NOT a PROCESOR", for example to make sure there were no mistaken bids. The seller was (no doubt in my mind) hoping for some unsuspecting person to pay over the odds.

They deserve to be jailed.

Alarm bells should have been ringing...

£136 for a box & fan (plus £5.50 for postage) - nice...

  Al94 08:47 14 Dec 2005

It's an auction and what is offered is clearly stated. I see absolutely no problem with this item, it does not seek to mislead as can happen at times.

  €dstowe 09:12 14 Dec 2005

The starting price (including carriage) was also reasonable for what was being offered.

Item Revisions summary for item #6831180702

The seller has revised the following item information:
Date Time Revised Information
13-Dec-05 01:01:53 GMT Description

It was a deliberate scam, the item description was "revised" on the final day of the auction.

  MESH Support 11:00 14 Dec 2005

Am I missing something?

He set the auction at 22:49 on the 12th, changed the description at 01:01 on the 13th, got his first bid at 07:03 on the 13th and closed at 22:49 on the 13th. The description was changed before the first person bid on the auction so no changes were made after the first bid.

Worst case scenario of buyer beware :(

  Chegs ®™ 11:13 14 Dec 2005

Your probably right Davey, but I'm still inclined to think the items listing method was designed to hoodwink a buyer.Putting an AMD box pic with a listing for a fan?
