Dunking potted plants in water to eradcate pests.

  Aitchbee 18:37 18 May 2018

Calling all gardeners; if I submerge my dried-up potted plants [20 litre capacity max] into large barrels of fresh water [80 litre capacity] for a coupla days will it kill off any vine weevil grubs etc. present, due to lack of oxygen?. I'll be potting 'em up into larger pots anyway. up to now, I usually pick 'em out by hand and [white grubs] feed them to the birds.

If the plants aren't dead already, you'll probably drown them.

The Vine Weevils will survive
