Do I spend too much time on the computer?

  BIG Ben strikes 10 again! 09:58 25 Mar 2005

I have just had an arguement with my parents.

They think I spend my life on the computer.

I do all of my homework on the computer which takes 2 hours.

I don't have a ps2 or xbox so i use my computer for games an hour.

I am not alowed to use the phone so i have to use msn to chat, another hour

Letters take so long to get delivered so i use email takes 10 minutes

I do my revision on the computer which is about 1 hour a day.

I don't have a DVD player so i use my computer.

And in between im on pcadvisor, hotmail, ciao, google.

Its just I use my computer to do pretty much all the things i would wan't to do,its all in one place.

Oh perhaps I should get a life?

To put it bluntly...yes. There is a huge, real world out there.

"I do all of my homework on the computer which takes 2 hours".

So, you've actually started doing your homework now?

That must be a first or has somebody let you out of the shed? ;-)

Why I ought to.....

I don't do the pathetic h/w.

But i do all of the level assessed ones.

I think they are slightly more important?

Leave the said computer> head for bedroom door> then follow landing to the stairs> walk down the stairs into the hall> locate front door> walk through this> and follow the path to the gate > if no gate untill you get to the public pathment.

Take a direction of your choice, left right it doesn't matter as long as you follow the highway code.. Somewhere out there is the big wide world....

"I think they are slightly more important?"

They're all important!

And I speak as a father of 2 daughters - one studying GCSEs and the other in her final A Level year.

I'm also a School Governor and if you were in our school, I'd be having strong words with the Head about you. ;-))

Even when the teacher sets it cuz he/she has to.and don't even bother marking it.

I have sats in about 3 weeks,I am revising.

But i am totally relaxed about it,and i don't mind what level i get.

Sats is a pathetic test set by the goverment,i don't think SATS will get you a good job.

"I'm also a School Governor and if you were in our school, I'd be having strong words with the Head about you. ;-))"

My parents are fully aware,we have journal signing so the parents, head of year, and tutor can all see it.

Also guess what!.i never did my h/w and so my music teacher was going to put me in after-school detention.

But then she said that 3 of the laptops had GCSE work on it that was very important.and that the laptops didn't work, she said the screens didn't work, they did, they just had to be turned up with the brightness control!.i searched in *.doc and it came up with all the gcse files.i copyed them to a CD and i didn't get detention!

Oh teachers are suckers!

oh yeah and School Governors :))))))
