Data protection -are you flouting the law?

Inclick here
mention was made of that 'Round Robin'- quite rightly deleted by FE.
I received it complete with a block of e-mail addresses.
Within the body was a block of addresses - and so on- all to my mind ripe for harvesting.
Some folk go to great pains to keep their I/D private - -Ex directory phone numbers etc.

The membership secretary of an organization to which I belong will not pass out members contact details to other members who wish to contact a particular individual - He does offer to contact them himself as M/Sec and ask them to call the person seeking contact.
All in the name of 'Data Protection'

So would sending on a 'Round Robin' unedited be considered a breach of the Data Protection act?

I gave a school a doctors phone number for their files. I lost the number in my records. I rang the school and asked for the number and was told I could not have it as it was not my doctor. It is the Data Protection Act,they said.
