He and Quo have been part of the musical background to my life for so many years. I will miss that driving sound for sure.

And now George Michael has gone as well click here

Never a fan but I did appreciate how good a voice he had. At the Freddie Mercury memorial concert he was one of very few stars that could do Freds vocals justice on their cover versions of Queen clasics. A sad loss for his fans.

George Michael was another one living life in the fast lane. No doubt that he was talented but couldn't handle the fame without chemical assistance. Shame that it had to end so early.

Human nature is a strange thing.

People die all the time, and famous people are no different. Our brains are designed to recognise patterns, and sometimes that makes us think we see them when really they don't exist.

Almost every year around Christmas there will be deaths that make the news, and stories about a jinx or curse will start to circulate. This year is no different.

Look back through the records, and you'll find that on average, just as many famous people die each year.

Douglas Adams went awhile back

Think you mean Richard Adams

Think we're above average this year.

"Think we're above average this year."

I suspect the reporting is above averafe, not the death rate.

It's ridiculous to talk of a"curse!.
