Today we received a survey request from BioBank medical research wanting blood, urine, saliva samples for long term storage with a extensive questionaire on your lifestyle, diet, family history? for two hours at an assessment centre will also include non invasive measurements.

we declined the offer, we consider it strange that they want so much information and long term access to your medical history/records

anyone else had these offers or been involved

Why would it be strange? I don't see how they can do their study properly without such samples.

I'm not involved in BioBank medical research, but have previously been part of a Drug Trial (drug involved is now available on NHS) and had to give similar samples on a regular basis, and full lifestyle, history etc.
